YeeHaa! Texas here we come!

Texas Trip
May19th-May 29th 2012

Our adventure started with a sleepover at Grandma and Grandpa Bobo's house so that Boppie (that's the name that Aaubre come up with one random day for Grandpa Bobo lol) could take us to the airport the next morning.  We got up not so bright, but definitely early the next morning and headed to the airport!  This would be Aaubre's second trip on a plane - - the first being when she was only 5 months old to Illinois - - so it was pretty exciting for all of us!  Oh and I must say, she was a freaking DOLL walking around through the airport with her cute pink kitty luggage in hand strolling around like she owned the place and knew exactly what she was doing and where she was going!! haha!  We could hardly keep up with her!!  She did amazing on the plane too! No screaming or whining, just giggles and smiles!
We did so many fun things while visiting family in Texas.
We went to the zoo
It was an awesome Zoo!  We had such a great time!  Right when we got there, the first thing we saw were the monkeys and oh. my. goodness!  There was a baby monkey that was so stinking adorable!  And not just because he was obviously cute, no, no, no... he was quite the little entertainer too!  We could have spent our whole time just standing there watching him "monkey around"!  haha It was great!  Most of the trails that zigzagged through the zoo were covered with shade by the tall trees so that was a huge perk because it got pretty hot.  Aaubre saw a family with kids spreading their arms as wide as a birds and so she walked her cute little butt right on up to it and did it too!  Which reminds me... there was one bird there that was showing his wing span off too , which was pretty cool....
By the end of the day Aaubre was beat and totally conked out once we got into the car,
but she definitely enjoyed herself, and so did we!  I would love to go back and take Aaycen one day.  They had so many cool animals and they were all out saying hello!

We visited

to see the Fort Worth Heard Longhorn Cattle Drive they do twice a day down the historic street.  We also peeked in some shops and saw some horses too, which I think, judging by her uncontrollable giggle, just may have been Aaubre's favorite part! *wink* (video below)

We took a trip down to Houston one day to visit family.  It was the first time Aaubre and I had a chance to meet them and Great/Grandma Armon came running out to greet us as soon as we got there!  I must say, she is the cutest, totally warmed up my heart!!  Since no one else was home quite yet, we decided to let Aaubre take a dip in the pool and like always, she couldn't help but show them how cute she is!!  Once she saw that there was a pool she became so ecstatic she couldn't resist and just had to show someone this cool awesomeness she just learned of.  So she took Great Grandma Armon by the hand and made her follow her up the stairs to the poolside deck and jumped with her two feet on the ground and her little arms spread out like wings and she says...."Tah-Dah!!"  Oh my gosh it totally made me laugh, she's so funny!  The rest of the night was spent out on the patio watching the kiddos play and hanging out.  She had a blast playing with her cousins too!  They tee-tottered on the seesaw, played tee ball and ran across the grass - - yes that was fun too!

We went to Grand Prairies QuikTrip Park Stadium to see the Airhogs play some baseball.
:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
We went to
to see some live horse races.  We experienced a bit of excitement there.  The first race we saw one of the horses trip and stumble right in front of us and then fell over!!  It was so crazy!  They even put something up to block our view while they had emergency crews go out onto the track to move the horse.

We stayed and played at Amanda and Blake's house
She's an amazing host, until the next day, then your "on your own - I ain't no one's maid" or something to that extent, haha *wink* Just kidding Amanda!!  She really is awesome and took care of us completely!  Made us feel right at home, even let me help myself to some mini ice cream snicker bars!  Although I'm pretty sure I ate just about the entire box - - shhh - - but I place the blame for that one on Aaycen *wink*  And Aaubre, like with all of her Aunts, she got her to let her play with her phone.  Haha we got quite a kick out of some of the pictures they were taking with the camwow

Hung out and celebrated Aaubre's Birthday at Papa and Mimi's house.
They were extremely hospitable and we can't thank them enough for having us! We want to so badly go back and visit them again very soon!
:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
We ventured to some parks near Papa's house and Auntie Amanda's.
 :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
We also went to a marina close to papa's house and fed the fish.  There were SO many and they were HUGE!  We couldn't believe how many there were it was crazy!!  I love the picture on the bottom right too... such a perfect "uh-duh" daddy daughter pose haha :)

The rest of our spare time was spent by a pool... for Aaubre it was IN the pool!  She's our little fish.
We had such a wonderful time in Texas! ...but it was time for our next adventure to begin! We rented a car so we could drive through the night to Illinois to visit more family! ...oh and when I say "we could drive" I really mean me and my pregnant belly *wink* Although Daddy and Daughter did stay up and jam to some tunes with me for quite a while, I think I did 95% of the driving, but its ok, my amazing husband took care of me later and treated me to an OH SO NICE back massage! Smiles!
